Our Successes

We have 9 years worth of evidence that our character programs work  and an absolute conviction that they are the appropriate way to continue Nick’s legacy in education.

Ricardo Hernandez –  All Hallows High School
Ricardo Hernandez was immediately hooked on the idea of being part of a character-building program.  A middle school student in Washington Heights, Ricardo was described by a teacher as being “honest, trustworthy and a loyal friend”, and began attending Friends of Nick workshops with his mother in seventh grade, an entire year earlier than most students typically begin the program.  READ FULL STORY »

Jose was described by his primary school principal as being respectful, a hard worker, and “well-liked by his peers and adults alike”. The most accurate description of Othanya came from her 8th grade teacher: “Othanya is a light in the midst of darkness. She is a courageous individual that deserves more than what she has received. This bright student is constantly under the spotlight because she is not afraid to excel. In her mind it does not matter what other people think of her.
