Friends of Nick (FON) is a non-profit organization that delivers character-building programs in partnership with inner city middle school and their parents.
Focused on the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth grade levels, students and teachers explore and commit to critical character strengths, such as “courage,” “integrity,” “perseverance,” and “compassion.”
Students, parents and caregivers participate through workshops in “conversations that matter” to gain a deeper mutual understanding of their own character as it relates to their families, their schools and their lives.
"I wasn't prepared for what happened when I sat down to read the student essays. They are powerful evidence of the meaningful intervention this program is having in the life of every child given this opportunity. How wonderful it is to know that our children are getting this much needed additional assistance in their lives. Thank you Friends of Nick!"-Darla Romfo, President of the Children Scholarship Fund
